Chair Yoga

Improve your balance; increase your flexibility; enhance your stamina.

Chair Yoga is an uplifting, modified form of traditional yoga suitable for people with limited mobility, lack of flexibility, a problem with joints or recovering from injury or illness.

Each of the stretches are done while seated, so you don’t have to ever be on the floor.

The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of your body allowing you to take full advantage of yoga’s amazing health benefits.  Even if you are in a wheelchair, you can receive the many benefits of  yoga –  all asanas are adapted to the chair which means every BODY can experience the integration of body, mind, and spirit.

Aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time. The props assist in helping you to hold poses longer. Restorative Yoga. ... A variety of props including blankets, bolsters, straps and yoga blocks are available to use to fully support your body in each pose. This practice is suitable for everybody...For bodies that are curious and haven’t as yet had the chance to try yoga before - for those who experience insomnia - for anyone having trouble slowing down and in search of a deep relaxation.
